Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Last updated: June 2, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Kopend Holdings Inc. (“fastbook.ing”, “we”, “us”), a company based in British Columbia, Canada, collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the Platform. We act as the controller of the personal information described here. We comply with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and we provide additional rights to users in the EU/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) as described below.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, profile image).
  • Profile information — details Providers and Customers add to their profiles.
  • Booking information — the services, dates, and parties involved in bookings you make or receive.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We store transaction identifiers and status, but we do not store full payment-card numbers.
  • Communications — transactional emails are sent through Resend.
  • Optional integrations — if you connect Google Calendar, we access the calendar data needed to sync your bookings.

3. How & why we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage your account and authenticate you;
  • facilitate bookings and process payments between Providers and Customers;
  • send transactional emails and service notifications;
  • provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Platform;
  • comply with legal obligations.

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (providing the Platform), legitimate interests (securing and improving the Platform), consent (optional integrations), and legal obligation.

4. How we share information

We share personal information with:

  • Stripe — to process payments and payouts;
  • Resend — to deliver transactional email;
  • Google — for sign-in and optional Calendar sync;
  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers — to operate the Platform;
  • Providers and Customers — booking inherently shares relevant details between the Provider and Customer involved in that booking.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, then retain it only as required to meet legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations.

7. Security

We protect personal information using measures such as encryption in transit (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

8. International data transfers

We and our service providers may process personal information in Canada, the United States, and other countries. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

9. Your rights

Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA, you may request access to and correction of your personal information. If the GDPR applies to you, you also have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” — note that we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise any right, email legal@fastbook.ing.

10. Children's privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.

12. Contact & complaints
